The Ashtanga Yoga Summer School offers space to root yourself, reconnect with your body and spirit, and allow new perspectives to emerge through the tools of yoga, Ayurveda, exploring yoga as Ayurveda philosophy themes together. Four days to deepen your practice, broaden your perspective, and reconnect with what yoga truly offers. 


This Summer School is for you if you want to:

  • Deepen your experience and understanding of yoga beyond what is possible in the Mysore room or your current practice.

  • Practice in a more holistic way - one that includes not only asana but also other limbs of yoga and the principles and practices of Ayurveda.

  • Gain practical tools to refine your practice and feel more grounded and inspired

  • Be inspired integrate the wisdom of Ayurveda and yoga philosophy into your daily life

  • Learn more about the subtle body.

  • Be part of a supportive and inspiring community of practitioners and feel validated in your journey.

Join us for four enriching, in-depth days of practice and study this summer, where we explore all things Ashtanga together - nourishing your practice with embodied know-how, inspiration, curiosity, and community support.


The teaching and group experience will offer incredible support for your understanding and experience of yoga, both on and off the mat..


Schedule

  • 7:00 – 9:30h Guided Kriya, guided Pranayama, and Personalized Yoga Practice (Ashtanga Mysore-style)
    A calm, focused space to practice in your own rhythm with individual guidance in a group - combining breath, focus, and presence.

  • 10:30 – 12:00h Yoga Philosophy and Physiology and Chanting

  • 12:30–14:00h Asana Lab & Embodied practice methods


Topics


Yoga Philosophy & Physiology:

  • Understand the benefits of yoga techniques (kriya, pranayama, asana).

  • Be inspired by insights from yoga and Ayurveda philosophy and physiology.

  • Explore lighthearted and practical teachings that enrich your practice and your perspective on life.

  • Learn about energetic anatomy: the subtle body and how it shapes your experience on the mat.

  • Explore chanting - its meaning, its grounding effect, and how it steadies the mind.

  • Dive into tristana and its role in bringing presence, clarity, and focus to your practice.

  • Establish or deepen your experience with kriyas and pranayama to purify, balance, and rejuvenate body and mind.


Asana Lab & Embodied Practice Methods:


We will explore core techniques and valuable insights that help you cultivate space, anchor, and awareness - developing both sthira (stability) and sukha (agreeableness) through:

  • Uddiyana bandha and mula bandha

  • Rhythm

  • Breath and gaze

  • Integrating opposing forces

These explorations will be practical, experiential, and embodied. Through workshop-style asana labs, you’ll receive clear explanations and have plenty of time to feel and integrate new perspectives on stability, fluidity, and space in your own body and practice.
