Topics

7 February

Anchored from Within: Integrating Opposites in Practice and Life

Morning Practice: Harmonizing opposing forces in posture, breath, and energy, cultivating steadiness and awareness from the inside out. We focus on expansion and grounding, prana and apana, and the subtle movements of the breath to support every pose.

Late Morning Focus:

Exploring the integration of opposites through philosophy, embodied practice, and hands-on asana lab. We look at effort versus surrender, tension versus ease, and practical ways to cultivate balance, stability, and spaciousness - on the mat and in life.

18 April

Root & Rise: Cultivating Inner Stability
and Lift

Morning Practice:

Creating space and awareness from within. We explore mula bandha and uddiyana bandha as inner anchors, cultivating grounding and lift, and developing steadiness and a deeper quality of awareness from the inside out rather than reaching for shapes.

Late Morning Focus:

Exploring the subtle anatomy of energy centers, common energetic blocks, and how to support energy flow through breath, bandhas, and mindful engagement—practical tools to cultivate stability, discernment, and ease in practice and life.

Breath & The Subtle Body: Deepening Awareness

Morning Practice:

Exploring the subtleties of breath and the five vayus. We focus on cultivating clarity, steadiness, and ease through rhythm, working with breath beyond inhale and exhale, and continue the deepening awareness from the inside out.

Late Morning Focus:

Continue deepening the integration of breath and rhythm. We explore the breath as an anchor for steadiness, focus, and presence, practical ways to release restrictions and support flow, and how the five vayus relate to balance, energy, and movement both in practice and life.

21 November

Rhythm & Focus: Vinyasa as a Foundation

Morning Practice:

What is the ground of focused, decisive and mindful transitions? We explore bringing intention and clarity into each movement, cultivating steadiness rather than rushing or tensing, and using the vinyasa count as a tool (not a dogma) to integrate breath, movement, and presence.

Late Morning Focus: Deepening our exploration of rhythm and focus. How mindful transitions support stability, fluidity, and ease, including different approaches to seated transitions. Subtle adjustments and micromovements refine awareness, and we explore ritam (rhythm) through yoga philosophy, Ayurveda, and polyvagal theory, with practical ways to apply the vinyasa count.
